I really enjoy the awards but I think the gift bags are outrageous. If the companies that provide these gifts would instead donate the money to food banks there would be less hungry children. These people do not need the gifts, they have enough money to buy anything they want. The companies would still get a write-off and great publicity to go with it. It is a win-win situation for everyone. Just think, receiving a certificate stating that $5,000 has been donated to the food bank in your hometown in your name would be a great honor. Since so many people are out of work the food banks are really stretched thin. It is just an idea. Maybe someone will take notice.
